All of these tampers are available in interchangeable woods, base types, base metals, base diameters and handle styles.
The handles are made in four styles: Tall, Tall ball, Short, and Short Ball. The Tall handle is 3 1/2" (89mm) high and the Short and Ball tampers are 3" (76mm) high. These dimensions include the base.
The wood handle choices are Bubinga (African Rosewood), Maple (Eastern Canadian Maple) and Wenge. Bubinga is a deep red African hardwood with a dark grain. Maple is a light blond North American hardwood. Wenge is
a dark brown wood with pale veins that also has a very coarse texture and is very hard, heavy, & strong. All wooden handles are polished to a beautiful finish and have white inlayed crowns.
The solid aluminum handle choices are color powder coated (blue, red, black, yellow, orange, pink, lime, hot pink), color anodized (blue, red, and copper), polished aluminum and brushed aluminum.
The three base shapes are flat , US curve and Euro curve. The base metals are stainless steel (304 food grade), aluminum (6061), brass and copper. The tamper bases are available in all sizes from 40mm to 59.9mm including decimals: eg. 56.5mm or 57.3mm. |
